The iANT221 is part of Extronics’ iANT2xx range of simple apparatus antennas.

Use in hazardous areas

The iANT221 has been assessed by Extronics engineers as meeting the international intrinsic safety standards for simple apparatus. This means it’s safe to use in hazardous areas when connected to a suitable certified wireless device with an intrinsically safe RF output, such as the iWAP107 or other solutions using the iSOLATE501.

The iANT221 antenna cannot be used in the hazardous area when connected to an RF source that is not intrinsically safe.

Optimized for WLAN installations

The iANT221 is optimized for use in WLAN installations in the 2.4GHz/5.8GHz spectrum for IEEE802.11 wireless networks or 2.4GHz/5.8Ghz wireless mesh Ethernet networks.

Indoor and outdoor use

The iANT221 can be used both indoors and outdoors. It’s made from durable weather-resistant material, including an outdoor weatherproof N-type connector. Rated to IP67 and with a temperature range of -40°C to +70°C, the iANT221 is suitable for most applications.

Gain and directionality

The iANT221 offers a gain of up to 7.5dBi. With its directional pattern, it’s ideal for Wi-Fi applications.
