The iANT214 is part of Extronics’ iANT2xx range of simple apparatus antennas. It is a vertically polarized directional antenna that is ideal for point to point links.
The iANT214 has been assessed by Extronics engineers as meeting the international intrinsic safety standards for simple apparatus. This means it’s safe to use in hazardous areas when connected to a suitable certified wireless device with an intrinsically safe RF output, such as the iWAP107 or other solutions using the iSOLATE501.
The iANT214 antenna cannot be used in the hazardous area when connected to an RF source that is not intrinsically safe.
The iANT214 can be easily mounted with the provided aluminum bracket. A 316L stainless steel bracket is also available.
The iANT214 is optimized for use in WLAN installations in the 2.4GHz/5.8GHz spectrum for IEEE802.11 wireless networks or 2.4GHz/5.8GHz wireless mesh Ethernet networks.
The iANT214 can be used both indoors and outdoors. It’s made from durable weather-resistant material, including an outdoor weatherproof N-type connector or SMA connector for the dual slant version. Rated to IP67 and with a temperature range of -40°C to +80°C, the iANT214 is suitable for most applications.
The iANT214 offers a gain of up to 8.5dBi @ 2.4GHz and 14dBi @ 5.8GHz with a directional coverage, ideal for use in point to point applications.
