The IS-MB1 Beacon requires a single intrinsic safety barrier with safety/entity parameters not exceeding the following values:
Uo/Voc=28V, Io/Isc=660mA, Po/Po=1.2W.
Suitable barrier: GMI D1048S / D1049S / D5048S / D5049S using output “A” terminals in each case.
Suitable barrier: GMI D1042Q (quad channel) with each output separately powering an individual IS-MB1 beacon.
Note that while each beacon has it’s own dedicated barrier channel, a complete failure of the barrier module will affect all alarm notifications associated with it.

The BA386 provides a bright flashing warning signal in a plant or processing area where ambient noise levels may drown out an audible alarm. It is significantly less expensive than traditional Xenon devices, yet has a similar light output and flashes more rapidly – making it more immediately noticable. Available in five colors to enable multi-stage alarm level protocols. Factory Mutual and ATEX intrinsic safety certification enable it to be used in virtually any classified hazardous location.
Can be used in conjunction with a BR385 alarm sounder using a single galvanically isolated barrier. The BA386 beacon includes terminals to power the sounder, and for an external push button to silence the sounder. The silence time is adjustable from 1 to 30 minutes. We can even supply a kit to combine the two units.

DA135 beacons offer multiple alarm modes to provide visual warnings in a variety of situations. A choice of five bright colors – including blue and white – plus single, dual and triple flash cycles. There’s even a dual color option to warn operators of a relative change in status. Protective lenses appear clear until the LEDs are illuminated. Each beacon may be connected to a sounder and acknowledge/reset pushbutton to create a local alarm station. The electronics are totally encapsulated, and wiring connections are made in a separate terminal chamber. All control connections are fully isolated to simplify circuit design.
